Today I did go the easy way out and find a picture from my archives… Kinda because it was storming all day today and I was melting from the heat. This was taken at nighthawk (an annual camp for both scouts and venturers) and it was cold, early in the morning, and our fire was struggling. But hey at least smoke looks pretty.
Oh and in case you were wondering who is in the background, its david sleeping in his chair while I totally slept on the ground. Yeah nature n’ stuff.

I did absolutely nothing today… except for napping and watching movies. So instead of going the easy way out and picking something out of my photo archive, i decided to get out some jelly moulds and play with shadows.
I stayed over at Eliza’s house last night (venturer buddy!) and today we were entertained by half hour informercials and silly american reptile shows. BUT the dog, Gemma, was always within the vicinity when food was available, and this was her ‘feed me plz’ face… I considered this beyond adorable ^_^
totally great shopping today, and had to child mind another child… ugh. then i went to a crazy nerd party with venturer nerds (link to the fact that this is a scout blog) and ginger beer, + Eliza 😛 who claims to be ginger beer as well. anyways, this is a snapshot of zeh nerrrdfest, we watched the dr who christmas special, played endless super smash bros, and played a racy broom broom car game. that is all.

We had a typical aussie surf’n’turf today with totally fab marinated prawns cooked on the bbq 😀 yum yum.
– Family lunch
– prawns, salad etc
– totally alcoholic rum balls love from nanna
– swim with the cousins (all four of them under 6 and I was assigned kidsitter)
– get sunburned
– sleep off food coma
– assemble and master slot car track
– get a hair makeover from the girls
– have another swim
I am quite surprised there were no tears with the kids… very impressed XD hahahah
funny moment: when my granddad and I were tinkering away with the slot cars we were called over by the parents to help with food when he just yells out, ‘NOPE! WE’RE ENGINEERING!!’ ohhh it was hilarious and we weren’t called over after that XD
I hope everyone else also had a lovely Christmas day 🙂
PS: Happy birthday dad!!
PPS: the more I look at this photo the grosser it looks… oh well!!
Messing around with the cousins when Jacob sticks his face to the star of the christmas tree. No doubt it will be left there for tomorrow.
I went to the Brisbane Christmas lights show tonight with Archie my half brother… we had a great time ^_^
Although I don’t really like Sydney that much (too many people + cigarettes in one place), I really love the cute little alleyways and pop-up cafes. I took this picture last year… and I dedicate it now to my friend Jolie who is in love with a boy from Sydney while we both live a bit too far north. But yeah, if you can find the right scene anywhere can be beautiful.
A very common occurrence here, you cant go far without seeing them… or hearing them. They sometimes get drunk on fermented flowers and fall off their branches and take a little while to wake up again.
Went christmas shopping today when I stumble across a bunch of rowdy, slightly drunk santas. As it is summer here in Australia, a cold beer is apparently the best way to cool down. As a kid instead of putting milk and cookies out for Santa, it was a beer for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. Classic Australia.
